°Õ³ó±ð ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Provost’s Education Awards recognises the colleagues whose work will have enabled excellence or facilitated innovation in teaching and learning.ÌýÌý

This includes recognising the work of postgraduate students who teach and Professional Services who support students' learning.   Ìý

Key dates

  • Tuesday 9 April – submission deadline for Provost’s Education Award Ìý
  • Wednesday 17 April – shortlist announced at the ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Education Conference Ìý
  • Wednesday 5 June –Ìýwinners announced at in-person celebration ceremonyÌý

Award categoriesÌý

New categories this year align with our ambitions for Education Excellence.Ìý

  • Innovating: with a particular interest in nominations that show evidence of new, rigorous ways that combine education and cutting-edge research.

  • Enhancing belonging: supporting diversity and creating a sense of community for students, and between students and staff. ÌýÌý

  • Improving the student experience: through improved infrastructure or processes that enhance the teaching and learning experience.Ìý Ìý

  • Celebrating education: practices that celebrate teaching and learning, and staff who teach and support teaching.

  • Impactful partnerships: focussing on engaging and impactful partnerships between students and staff. ÌýÌý


Criteria

Nominations will be assessed with consideration given to the context of the nominees’ career stage and role. They will be assessed in terms of:

  • Sustainability of impact beyond the immediate work carried out to ensure that maximum benefit can be gained from the work.
  • Clarity of evidence of impact on creating an inclusive student experience and education commensurate with the nominee’s context.
  • Benefit to ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ student learning and support.

Nominations processÌý

First stage: Nominator Ìý

Identify the individual or team you would like to nominate. Submit your nomination to Faculty or Professional services unit. Your faculty or VP office’s deadlines and selection processes will apply.Ìý

Second stage: Faculty or VP office Ìý

Review nominations and set up a selection panel. Then submit up to eight nominations using the Awards nomination form to be considered for a ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Provost’s Education Award. To ensure a balance of nominees, no more than fiveÌýnominations should be for groups, and likewise no more than fiveÌýshould be for individuals.

Every individual or team whose nomination is sent to the Provost’s Education Awards panel will receive a Faculty/VP Education Award. Ìý
