Giving back to ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳

• Transition Mentor: help new students settle in by providing support and advice. Transition Mentors are usually recruited in Term 3 for the following academic year. 
• Widening Participation Student Ambassador: support events and activities for young people from backgrounds that are underrepresented at university.
• Welcome Ambassador: help support events and services related to the welcome and induction of new ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ students.
• Many, many other Ambassador Programmes: keep an eye on the ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ news feed and the Careers website for upcoming ambassador opportunities.

Shape ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Education 

• : represent the interests of other students to shape education at ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳. 
• ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ ChangeMakers: opportunities, funding and support for students and staff who want to work together to enhance education & the student experience at ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳.
• help to improve how the university works by providing detailed feedback and analysis from a student perspective
• Student Experience Panel: join the panel to receive opportunities to collaborate with us or share your ideas and feedback
• Enrol on this self-paced online program to empower yourself as a ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ student in championing diversity and shaoping a more inclusive educational future

STEM

• : a multidisciplinary research club and Makerspace, with a friendly and inclusive space offering an exciting range of tools and machinery for members to use. Their mission is to provide all makers with a creative home in which to innovate, contemplate and understand all aspects of materials

  Hackathons: keep an eye out in the ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ student newsletter for the many Hackathons that are run throughout the year. They cover everything from innovative technology and to solving problems for some of the most pressing societal concerns.  

Business, Leadership and Entrepreneurship 

• Competitions and business challenges: with ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Careers, win great prizes and even paid work experience with top companies by competing in 'games' and business challenges running across industries such as Marketing, Journalism, Financial Trading, Project Management and more!
• ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Innovation & Enterprise: helping you boost your employability, create your own business or solve global problems.
• Laidlaw Scholarships: For first-year students only. Applications usually open between December and early Feb.

• Lunchtime Lectures: showcasing exceptional research taking place at ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳.
