Julija听Gulbinovi膷听holds a BA in Lithuanian Philology and Foreign (Croatian) Language from Vilnius University (2006), Lithuanian, and an MA in Human Geography from Queen Mary University of London (2008), and听is most interested in ways geography and literature connect. Julija is a poet and a literary translator. Her poetry appeared in Lithuanian magazines听Metai,听艩iaur臈s听At臈nai听and听Literat奴ra听ir听menas,听also in听The Gathering of the Tribes听(New York) and听Rusted Radishes听(Beirut).
She has translated four books:听Fox听by Dubravka听Ugre拧i膰听(postmodern novel; from Croatian into Lithuanian, 2021);听Pyramids of Days听by听Daina听Opolskait臈听(short stories; from Lithuanian into Croatian, 2020);听Migrations听by Milo拧听Crnjanski听(historical novel; from Serbian into Lithuanian, 2017) and听Postmortem听Trilogy by Mate听Mati拧i膰听(plays; from Croatian into Lithuanian, 20120, as well as three poetry booklets (Wolven Years by听Indr臈听Valantinait臈听(2019), Another Life by Aivaras听Veiknys听(2017) and听Backboning听by Gytis Norvilas (2015) from Lithuanian into Croatian (with听膼ino听膼ivanovi膰, for Zagreb:听Studentsko听kulturno-umjetni膷ko听dru拧tvo听Ivan Goran Kova膷i膰).听
