Being a professional and working in the field of disaster risk reduction (DRR) and conflict or migration, we often face difficulties in selecting the appropriate method that fits for our purpose in delivering real-life impact. We also struggle to involve local people or vulnerable communities in decision-making process. To overcome such limitations, the taster lecture will cover the following topics:

  • How to ensure local people's participation in DRR planning?
  • Which method is preferable – quantitative or qualitative?
  • What is a participatory rural appraisal (PRA) method?
  • How to apply PRA methods in practice
  • How to develop a community consultation model

There will be two live sessions with the same webinar, so please choose one to attend:

9:00am BST

5:00pm BST

The sessions will also be available to view on our  channel later.Â
