School of Pharmacy alumna recognised in Top Qatar Scientists list

22 November 2022

Rand Anwar Alattar (Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice and Policy MSc, 2012) has been recognised in the Qatar Top 1000 Scientists list by the AD Scientific Index 2023.

The AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index), unlike other systems that provide evaluations of journals and universities, is a ranking and analysis system based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists. Furthermore, it provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics of affiliated scientists.

Dr Rand Alattar, alumna of the ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ School of Pharmacy

Rand, who now works asÌýa Clinical Pharmacist specialising in Infectious Diseases at the Hamad Medical Corporation,Ìýremembers her time at the School of Pharmacy fondly, sayingÌý"I always give the credit of my achievements to the Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice and Policy (CPIPP)Ìýprogramme as it has had a great positive impact on my performance and career path since I graduated in 2012."

The Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice and Policy has two streams, one of which has an extended placement included. They thenÌýgainÌýtransferable skills for pharmaceutical care services in new settings and environments, and an international perspective on healthcare systems and health needs of different populations worldwide.
