NSS - ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ students' satisfaction

88% of ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ final-year undergraduate students responding to the 2008 National Student Survey declared themselves satisfied with the quality of their courses, up from 87% last year. This compares with a national figure of 84%.

Among Russell Group (research-intensive) universities, ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ was placed top in London and joint fourth nationally in overall satisfaction.

The NSS is an chance to give feedback on all aspects of university life including:

•ÌýÌý Ìýassessment and feedback

•ÌýÌý Ìýacademic support

•ÌýÌý Ìýorganisation and management

•ÌýÌý Ìýlearning resources

•ÌýÌý Ìýpersonal development.

×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ welcomed the graduating students' perceptions of their learning experience. As in previous years, the university will reflect upon the detailed results and endeavour to enhance its provision accordingly.

The survey was commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council for England and is administered by Ipsos MORI, an independent research agency.

Final-year undergraduate students will have the opportunity to give their views to the next NSS in the second term, from January 2009.
