Description

This module explores basic injuries and health matters affecting performance. Lectures are on health screening and promotion, health literacy and preparation for performance. In dance science lectures, you will be introduced to dance physiology, metabolic factors and nutrition and an overview of dance-specific injuries and their prevention. In music science, you will learn about instrumental ergonomics and music physiology.
This module is also available for the Distance Learning PGCert.
