This module will cover details on how proteins are translated, regulated, their structure and function and introduction to proteomics. In this module students will gain knowledge and practical experience in two-dimensional gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry and howÌýquantitativeÌýproteomics is used in identifying large number of proteins in cell biology and disease. Students will also learn how current web based bioinformatic platforms can be utilized for network analysis on large proteomics dataset.
