Description
The main aim of this module is to engender in students an ability to take financial ideas and principles and apply them in the context of work based scenarios, accompanied by an ability to critically analyse and evaluate both the theoretical underpinnings and the outcomes of practical applications. The Accounting elements of this module aim to develop students’ ability to read and interpret financial statements and associated financial data, based upon an understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of the construction of core financial statements. It also enables students to deploy a range of models and frameworks for using accounting information in investment and managerial decision-making, and cost determination. The Finance elements of this module aim to provide students with a theoretical and practical understanding of selected aspects of financial management.
