MBBS Curriculum Review – Further Information

This page includes further information surrounding the Curriculum Review and the Project Management Team.

Information gatheringÌý

The first step we took was to gather information from a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳, including students, academics, staff, clinicians and patient representatives.ÌýÌý

Students and staff have told us that:Ìý

  • We could improve the links between science and clinical practice.  Ìý
  • Content could be more streamlined. Ìý
  • Timetables are often overly complicated.Ìý
  • We could be more transparent about assessments. Ìý

Student and staff feedback has led to a set of imperatives for our approach to the Curriculum Review: Ìý

  • To streamline CONTENT Ìý
  • To enhance integration of COMMUNITY MEDICINE/PRIMARY CARE Ìý
  • To enhance CLINICAL RELEVANCE appropriate to the stage of training Ìý
  • To reduce COMPLEXITY Ìý
