×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ awarded MSc Medical Statistics studentships

×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ has been awarded studentships for an MSc in Medical Statistics from the NIHR.

The application was successfully led by Professor Rumana Omar, Professor of Medical Statistics from the JRO and the Department of Statistical Science.Ìý

The MSc course aims to prepare graduates for future research at PhD level or employment in a research-related capacity in academia, industry or the NHS. Professor Omar said: "The purpose of the MSc in Medical Statistics is to increase the number of individuals with high-level expertise in a critical discipline underpinning applied health research."

The panel that awarded ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ the studentships praised the BRC link between ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ and ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳H; and the PRIMENT Clinical Trials Unit, a collaboration between the ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Department of Primary Care and Population Health, Division of Psychiatry and the Department of Statistical Science.
