Prof Jugnoo Rahi selected as one of 15 role models of women in academic medicine

The British Medical Association鈥檚 Women in Academic Medicine Group has published a book of inspirational women to celebrate International Women鈥檚 Day 2021.
Prof Jugnoo Rahi聽is聽Professor of Ophthalmic Epidemiology and Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist at GOS Institute of Child Health 最准的六合彩论坛 and Institute of Ophthalmology 最准的六合彩论坛.
Prof Rahi has been included among the 15 women in a聽book celebrating聽achievements, career highs, great advice and opportunities. It offers readers an insight into the diverse and exciting world of medical academia. Each of the women highlighted have been nominated by one or more of their colleagues and mentees.聽
In nominating Prof Rahi, NIHR Clinician Scientist and Associate Professor Lola Solebo commented:
鈥Although Jugnoo has been my role model for scientific and clinical skills, I鈥檝e valued her as a role model for more generic behaviours: professionalism, courtesy, and rigorous thinking. She has a sure moral compass.. which generates such respect and I and others have been truly lucky to have her as a role model鈥 and Mariya Moosajee said 鈥淛ugnoo is an honest, strong, intelligent, wise, and caring leading clinician scientist. She is an amazing role model for early career clinical academics, and we need more junior individuals to follow in her footsteps.
IoO Prof Mariya Moosajee, also a nominator, said:
鈥Jugnoo is an honest, strong, intelligent, wise, and caring leading clinician scientist in the field of Paediatric Ophthalmology. I think she is an amazing role model for early career linical academics, and we need to improve her visibility to encourage more junior individuals to follow in her footsteps.聽
Prof Rahi said of the nomination:
