What attracted you to IOE and your course?

The very first thing that brought me to IOE and my course MA Digital Media: Education is my strong interest in media and culture studies, I love all sorts of media forms and am obsessed with different cultural phenomenon that we encounter on a daily basis, so pursuing this MA study was my great opportunity to dig deep further in my interest at an academic level. What's more, IOE is a world leading organization, there was no reason for me not to be a part of it!

What were the most interesting things you did, saw or got involved with while at IOE?

I'm obsessed with every aspect of IOE and my life here! I love how resourceful theÌýlibrary is, and how our courses are designed. The tutors of mine were so generous and patient, and demonstrated high academic and ethical standard, they were able to incorporate theories in our reflexive practice in a very entertaining way, which is so impressive!

What are your future ambitions?

I am currently applying for a PhD in transmedia audience studies, so my goal for the near future would be get the offer, and get my PhD degree! In fact, it was my experience at ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ that has developed and secured my passion for my research field, as well as my academic ability as a researcher. My tutors have always encouraged us to explore whatever that catches our interest so I have the faith to go further on this academic path.

What advice would you give to a student looking to apply for a PhD too?

For students who want to apply for a PhD, I highly recommend them devote themselves in the courses, critically do the readings, improve the quality of the assignments, I believe we will all benefit from the seemingly small accumulations that we’ve made.Ìý

Is there anything else you would like to share with our students and alumni?

Time at ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ can be extremely fulfilling but also transient, cherish every single day when you can wander around the ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ main quad, have a lunch break in Russell Square, climb up countless stairs during the morning peak hour to rush out of the underground station to attend the morning lecture...Ìý
