The Skills Evaluation Tool (SET) has been designed to assist ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Doctoral Researchers in assessing and enhancing their skills, knowledge, and abilities.

The primary aim of the Skills Evaluation Tool (SET) is to provide a structured approach to self-reflection and development planning, supporting Doctoral Researchers and their supervisors throughout the various stages of the doctoral journey.

By engaging with SET, Doctoral Researchers will gain valuable insights into their strengths and areas for growth, enabling them to set realistic goals and plan theirÌýdevelopment.Ìý

To access the Skills Evaluation Tool (SET), and select the 'Questionnaire' function, indicated by theÌýheart monitor icon.

Use the accompanying SET workbookÌýto help identifyÌýpriority development areas, create a development plan, and book on to training and development activities.Ìý

Regular self-reflection and development planning enables Doctoral ResearchersÌýto:

  • RecogniseÌýstrengths: Identify and leverage the skills, knowledge and abilities that set themÌýapart.
  • Pinpoint areas for growth: Determine the skills, knowledge and abilities that require enhancement.
  • Set realistic goals: Establish clear achievable objectives that align with personal and professional aspirations.
