Pronouns At Work
Pronouns are used to refer to someone or something that is being talked about, for example 鈥渟he鈥, 鈥渢hem鈥, 鈥渢his鈥 and 鈥渋t鈥.
We use gender pronouns (e.g. 鈥渟he/her鈥, 鈥渉e/him鈥 and 鈥渢hey/them鈥) to refer to people without using their name. We may assume a person鈥檚 gender based on their name, appearance, voice, and/or expression, and 鈥渁ssign鈥 a pronoun, however this may not always be correct.
