International Conference of Ethiopian Studies 2022, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, September 2022
AFRAB鈥檚 third workshop happened alongside the 21st International Conference of Ethiopian Studies, hosted by AFRAB鈥檚 partner, the Institute of Ethiopian Studies of Addis Ababa University. AFRAB鈥檚 panel, consisting of six presentations, was entitled 鈥淎fter Abolition: Slavery, Labour, and Social Stratification in Ethiopia since 1942鈥澛燼nd gave rise to discussions with other Ethiopian and international conference participants. After the ICES鈥檚 end, AFRAB held an internal research workshop at which researchers discussed their preliminary findings and future plans under the main聽axes of inquiry that they are pursuing in the framework of the AFRAB Project.
