Our programmes offer a broad selection of modules that enable students to develop varied interests and research from an academics who are leaders in their fields.Ìý

Hebrew language and Jewry past and present are essential components of our degree programmes, but we also survey political relations and conflict, and studies in both modern and ancient languages.ÌýWe are a tight knitÌýand diverse department, thriving on collaboration and a global staff and student body.

Undergraduate Prizes

Tytus Cytowski Rzeczpospolita Prize, up to £2000:Ìýto be awarded annually for the best dissertation on the history of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, its diverse peoples, and its legacies, within the period 1569-1918. Please visitÌýthe website for regulations and details.

Samuel Bard Memorial Prize,Ìýup to £1500: Awarded to a undergraduate or postgraduate studentÌýon the recommendation of the Department.

Jews Commemoration Travelling Scholarship,Ìýup to £650: Awarded to a studentÌýon the recommendation of the Department.

Michael Goldmeier Memorial Prize,Ìý£500: Awarded toÌýa deserving student for academic achievement.

Harris Prize,Ìý£200: Awarded to a studentÌýon the recommendation of the Department based on academic effort and/or financial need.

Raphael Loewe Prize,Ìý£75: Awarded to a student on the first year on the recommendation of the Department.

Hashimoto Rose Prize, £75: Awarded to a studentÌýon the recommendation of the Department.
