Professor in Organisational Behaviour

This post will contribute significantly to the development of our research capacity in the field of organisational behaviour and the School. The post holder will conduct and publish world-leading research, securing grants, delivering high-quality teaching and mentorship to early career academics at GBSH, and actively engaging in creating a vibrant interdisciplinary research environment at GBSH. Additionally, the role entails taking a leadership role with respect to creating and leading a research group within their respective academic fields of interest. The Global Business School for Health has three research themes currently – 1. Management and Healthcare Innovation, 2. Health Systems and Policy, and 3. Health Economics, Operations, and Finance. We seek to hire a world-leading academic at the professorial level who will further enhance our interdisciplinary research and societal impact by leading, innovating and engaging external stakeholders in organisational behaviour, particularly in health and healthcare settings. Ideally the post holder will be engaged in globally significant and applied research that is socially impactful as well as relevant to furthering theoretical understanding.

Salary is competitive with our peer institutions worldwide and we are prepared to offer a market salary supplement to ensure it reflects current market conditions, so we recruit an exceptional Professor of Organisational Behaviour.

Associate Prof in Business Management and health sciences

This post will be the programme lead for our new BSc/MSci programme in Business and Health launching in 2025. The post holder will oversee shaping the student experience on this novel programme as well as building a team of academics who provide the teaching and mentoring to the students on this programme. The post holder will also teach on the programme on modules that align with their expertise as well as other related tasks such as serving on our education committee, working across GBSH education team, engaging and supporting our marketing and student recruitment team, and our placement and careers to ensure an exceptional student experience. This programme offers students the opportunity to have a year study abroad experience or work placement that the programme lead will have oversight of. This programme requires an energetic and passionate academic who values the undergraduate experience and can embrace the vision for this programme. The post holder needs to be an exceptional communicator and team builder who has the student at the heart of the programme and understands the importance of high impact activities for undergraduates. Lecturer in Healthcare Financing

This post is to strengthen our research and education. We seek candidates with a research specialisation in Healthcare Financing. Candidates need to be able to teach financial entrepreneurship in the healthcare context and financing health-related SMEs. Given the interdisciplinary approach to health challenges taken at Global Business School for Health, we would see willingness to work across disciplines essential for this role.

We are looking for an exceptional colleague who can contribute to our evolving interdisciplinary research across the health ecosystem. This postholder will also support ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Global Business School for Health’s MBA and EMBA Health delivery at ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ East. The ideal candidate should have teaching experience and a creative approach to designing and delivering postgraduate and professional levels in subject-specific and interdisciplinary contexts.

GBSH is a multidisciplinary department with a health management focus. The ideal candidate will have an evolving research agenda that will allow them to contribute to at least one of the research themes of the department. We have excellent support for early career researchers and ample opportunities to develop your research profile.

  • Contribute to the development of research in Healthcare Financing and Health Systems Financing
  • Contribute to education in the areas Financial Entrepreneurship in the Healthcare context and health-related SMEs
  • Secure external funding sources, preferably as a principal and/or co- investigator.

Executive Education Administrator

The post offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth of the new GBSH department, by delivering customer focused and effective administration across the full range of executive education activities.

As well as working with internal and external stakeholders, you will benefit from the opportunities afforded by working closely with healthcare management organisations, ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ East team and being part of the larger administrative community of the Faculty of Population Health Sciences.

The appointee will work closely with the Executive Education Manager and Director of Executive Education in the fulfilment of their responsibilities, to support the design and delivery of Executive Education Programmes. These include open enrolment programmes and custom offerings for specific clients, delivered online an in-person.

This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship. Therefore, ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ GBSH will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% on site.

Senior Research Fellow

This post will support the development of the Health Systems and Policy research theme area at GBSH, with a particular focus on Primary Health Care (PHC). The post holder will work with Professor Kabir Sheikh on the Urban Primary Health Care learning sites project, coordinating a multi-partner collaboration, and co-leading specific workstreams of the project. Additionally, the post holder will work with Professor Sheikh to advance the Health Systems and Policy theme generally at GBSH and across ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳, by writing research manuscripts and collaborative funding proposals, organizing research meetings and seminars, and helping convene the faculty thematic cluster on Health Systems and Policy.

We are particularly interested in someone who brings expertise in health policy and systems research in low- and middle-income countries. Given the interdisciplinary approach to health challenges taken at Global Business School for Health, we would expect the post holder to be able to work across disciplines and engage effectively with diverse health system stakeholders, in responding to important problems confronting health systems at subnational, national and / or global levels. Experience of research and existing partnerships in low- and middle-income countries are a pre-requisite for the role. A post holder at this level will require a good knowledge of existing debates on health systems and policy.

This role is expected to start in October 2024. The role is offered as a full-time contract, funded for 3 years from the date of joining.
