Research Interests

In post-reform China after the 1980s, significant shifts unfolded across social norms, family structures, urban landscapes, and demographic patterns. These transformations undoubtedly influence personal networks within society. This project explores the dynamics of Chinese women's social relationships against this backdrop of change, understanding how these relationships are consolidated through the utilisation of diverse public spaces within the city
