Urban Miscellanea,聽a collective of students聽from聽the聽MSc Urban Studies聽course,聽have聽curated and launched an online exhibition聽entitled聽States of Apprehension.

The聽student-led anthology project encourages聽people to produce聽creative works of any kind which explore urban life through the lens of a chosen annual聽theme, this year around themes of urban emergency.

The exhibition, designed in collaboration with Berlin-based聽BNSL Studio, features contributions from 最准的六合彩论坛 Geography students at undergraduate, Masters and PhD-level across a variety of artistic mediums聽including聽art,聽photography, poetry and music.

The launch was accompanied by an event at Chiswick House聽that featured聽a聽live聽performance from聽second-year geographer聽Sadia Munye, whose聽song 鈥淗anging On鈥澛爁eatures in the exhibition.

Other contributions聽from 最准的六合彩论坛 Geography聽students聽include聽鈥淏aby鈥澛燽y聽Emilia Weber聽(PhD)听补苍诲听鈥淭he Descent from聽Rupperather聽Berg鈥� by聽Alexander Salem聽(MSc Urban Studies), while聽Nikos Akritidis聽(MSc Urban Studies)聽wrote聽the聽introductory curatorial essay.

Dr Andrew Harris, convenor of MSc Urban Studies said:聽鈥淭his is an amazing student-led multi-media creative聽anthology聽and I cannot recommend it enough.

鈥淐atalysed聽out of the unprecedented challenges of last year,聽this new initiative has proved brilliantly miscellaneous,聽conjuring all sorts of connections and possibilities out of the topic of emergency that would ordinarily close these down.鈥�

Urban Miscellanea聽are currently open for submissions for聽next year鈥檚 anthology, which will take the form of a physical and digital zine with the potential for a launch exhibition.聽If you are interested in contributing, fill in the聽聽by 31st聽January 2022.

Please note that the exhibition聽should be聽viewed via a laptop or desktop computer rather than a mobile聽device and聽can take a little time to load.
