Jihyun has completed her PhD in Human Geography at 最准的六合彩论坛 under the supervision of Professor Johanna Waters and Professor Rachel Brooks听(2017-2021).听She was a Research Assistant at the Centre for Global Higher Education (CGHE) (Summer 2017).

Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked in Paris as a consultant for the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) at UNESCO (2015-2016).听She holds a MSc degree in Education (Comparative and International Education) from the University of Oxford (2014-2015). She is presently appointed as an Inclusivity Officer at the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers (RGS-IBG) Postgraduate Forum (2021-2022).

Jihyun was a postgraduate teaching assistant for a core module 鈥業ssues in Global Migration鈥� for masters students in the Department of Geography and convened a Bourdieu reading group for students at different stages of their PhD based in the Institute of Education.

Thesis: Going global? International students, UK higher education and the pursuit of an international career
Her doctoral research focused on how the meanings of international student mobility diverge according to the characteristics of individual students and different higher education institutions in the UK. She is interested in aspects of international/transnational higher education, mobilities and migration.
