TheÌýCentre for Ethics & LawÌýhas published its 2022/23 Annual Report, which is available as a PDF.Ìý

The Centre continues to engage in bringing researchÌývisibility and stakeholder conversations on a range of topics. These include:

  1. corporate law, governance and responsibility. WeÌýhosted the following events, mostly online, except the hybrid event regarding Dr Ewan McGaughey’s bookÌýlaunch on Enterprise Law,

  2. financial law and regulation and it hosted a number of events and stakeholder discussions. For example Dr Francisco de la Pena organised and hosted an excellent event on the roles of ESG infomediaries and how they serve the investor and corporate sectors, and what legal frameworks are relevant to and govern their work. The Centre also hosted an event on the implications for law and regulation entailing from pension funds’ involvement in market turmoil as a result of unexpected risks materializing from their LDI strategies, as well as a book launch centred upon the IOSCO, the InternationalÌýOrganisation of Securities Commissions, in relation toÌýhow international political forces shape international standards for capital markets,

  3. areas of lawÌýand ethics that are social in nature, whether or notÌýrelated to business or commercial interests. In this regard, we continue to appeal to members of theÌýCentre and the Faculty more broadly to bring theseÌýconversations to the Centre. We were proud andÌýdelighted to host the book launch by Professor RaphaelÌýCohen-Almagor on law and religion. Professor Cohen-Almagor was supported by the Centre during his research stay at the Faculty.
