Best restorative dentistry student 2020: certificate year

18 December 2020

RDP Certificate prize winner Jessica Sze

Congratulations to Restorative Dentistry student Jessica Sze, who has been awarded this year鈥檚 Prize.

The annual award is given to the best performing student on the Certificate stage of our Restorative Dental Practice MSc听and was awarded via the first ever virtual prize giving.

Jessica won a Denar Mark 2 articulator provided by sponsor Prestige Dental.听

Deputy Programme Director and specialist prosthodontist said: 鈥淒espite an exceptionally unusual year, Jessica has worked consistently hard throughout鈥.

鈥淪he听has demonstrated an excellent clinical and academic skill set and this prize is thoroughly deserved, well done Jessica.鈥

The MSc in Restorative Dental Practice is a part-time, three year programme that enhances students鈥 ability to provide high-quality and comprehensive restorative management for the majority of patients.

Students on the Certificate stage of the programme attend for a year whilst still working in practice. They are taught about new materials and evidence-based techniques by highly-recognised specialists..

This year the听course was adeptly adapted, offering comprehensive,听blended learning with very essential hands-on skills taught via socially-distanced, face-to-face sessions. We now look forward to meeting the next听 Certificate class in January 2021 and welcoming back Jessica and many of her classmates to the Diploma stage.听听
