The Eastman Dental Institute

We are a world-leading, academic centre for postgraduate dentistry and translational research based in London, UK. We offer an extensive range of high-quality, postgraduate study opportunities including Master's degrees, specialty training, certificates, diplomas, research-informed degrees and CPD courses.

We work across two main ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ campus sites:

  • Rockefeller Building – Teaching and clinical research sits within the Rockefeller Building, University Street in the heart of Bloomsbury.
  • Royal Free Hospital - Microbial Diseases and Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering research is now at the Royal Free Hospital campus in Hampstead.

Access requirements, including ID cards and ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ systems

How to obtain a staff ID card

ID cards are issued in the Andrew Huxley Building (close to the Gordon Street entrance) from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.45pm. To help minimise the number of people in reception, please book in advance.

You will need to show one form of personal identification such as a bank card or driving licence and your photograph will be taken at the desk.If you are registered disabled or unable to visit, please contact the team to make alternative arrangements.

Staff who require access to NHS clinics will require a ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳HT ID card. Forms are available via the EDI Registry Department.


How to obtain your ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Account Details

Most staff are automatically assigned a ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ user ID and password, the main exception being honorary staff. Visit the Security Services Department in the Andrew Huxley building (open Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.45pm) where you can pick up your sealed computer registration slip containing your user ID and initial password.

You will also be issued with your ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ ID card and IT Essentials induction pack at the same time. If the Security Services department does not have your computer registration slip, visit the IT Services with your ID card and you can be registered to use the MyAccount service and set a password for your account.

Once you have your user ID and password, you should:

1. to something only you know. Your password automatically expires between 100 and 350 days after you set it (depending on the strength of the password you choose).

If you are working from home or on the move, there are a number of services available giving you access to your desktop, files, software applications and systems.

There are 2 ways to access ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ services remotely. The option you pick will be dependent on your requirements and technical knowledge, but for the vast majority of ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ staff and students we recommend Desktop @ ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ Anywhere.

Reasonable Adjustments

The Institute ensures that people with a disability, impairment, mental or physical health condition can access and progress in employment. A Reasonable Adjustment is any step or
