The Centre was founded in 2010. It hosts an MA in Early Modern Studies, and runs a lively research seminar series. We work closely with the  (CELL). CELL is a collaborative research laboratory exploring pioneering digital solutions to archival questions; the Centre’s expertise is primarily in the early modern period, but its focus is wide ranging, incorporating both the handwritten and the printed word. Both research centres are members of ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳'s Institute for Advanced StudiesÌý(±õ´¡³§).

We are grouped with several other research centres under the auspices of the Centre for Multidisciplinary and Intercultural Inquiry (CMII) at the ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳ School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS).
