Aspire Award Undergraduate Scholarship

The Computer Science Aspire Award reduces financial barriers and create opportunities for students from Black or mixed Black ethnic backgrounds who are currently underrepresented in our department. We are making a commitment to two fully funded scholarships.

Eligibility criteria for 2024

Eligible candidates must meet all the mandatory criteria:

Based in the UK with home fee status or听be a forced migrant (as defined by 最准的六合彩论坛)
be from a Black or mixed Black Ethnic background
have not completed undergraduate study either at 最准的六合彩论坛 or elsewhere previously
have accepted an offer of admission to study Computer Science BSc听undergraduate, Computer Science MEng or Robotics and Artificial Intelligence MEng programmes for the 2024听intake.

Additional eligibility criteria

Eligible candidates must also meet at least one of the additional criteria detailed below.听

be in financial need as assessed by 最准的六合彩论坛听(household income of less than 拢42,875)听
receive (or were eligible for) free school meals
have a disability听(underrepresented group听in Higher Education)
be a care leaver听(underrepresented group听in Higher Education)
attend (or have attended) a low-performing school for either GCSE or A-level
live in a disadvantaged neighbourhood听(we use听听and/or听听data to identify levels of financial, social, economic or educational deprivation, as defined by home postcode)

How to apply听

On accepting an offer of a place on the Computer Science BSc听undergraduate programme or Computer Science MEng programme or听Robotics and Artificial Intelligence MEng programme for the 2024听intake, you will be able to apply for The Computer Science Aspire Award听scheme.

As part of the application process selected candidates who have met their 鈥楢鈥� level grade requirement will be asked to engage in a one-to-one dialogue with the Windsor Fellowship听to discuss anything else which you feel might support your application.

Dialogues will be conducted electronically via an appropriate method agreed between the Windsor Fellowship and applicant e.g. telephone, Zoom听etc.

They will be scheduled by the Windsor Fellowship after the A Level results are released by UCAS.

Selection

The selection panel will assess your application based on the information provided on your online scholarship application form and the information you provide in your one-to-one dialogue with the Windsor Fellowship. Assessment of applications will be made in relation to the eligibility criteria.听
