Join us for Voice of South Asian Art and Literature's inaugural event on September 14th, featuring an array of activities, including thought-provoking talks, captivating poetry readings, and mesmerizing musical performances. It will be a day filled with creativity, cultural exchange, and community bonding.

The primary aims of VSAAL are to:

  • Promote and support South Asian art and literature.
  • Advance education and appreciation of South Asian cultural heritage within the community.
  • Organize cultural events, exhibitions, seminars, and workshops.
  • Facilitate community engagement and collaboration in the promotion of South Asian art and literature.

VSAAL's activities are designed to benefit over 3 million South Asian Britons by celebrating the languages, literature, culture, and art forms of the Subcontinent. Our vision is to connect individuals of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sinhalese, and other South Asian backgrounds, fostering unity through entertainment, education, and the celebration of our shared heritage.

We are especially focused on engaging young, second- and third-generation British Asians, helping them to appreciate and embrace their rich cultural heritage. By breaking down barriers and promoting pluralism, VSAAL aims to create a more inclusive and cohesive community.

Join us on this exciting journey and help us celebrate the rich tapestry of South Asian culture. Together, we can create a vibrant and unified community that honours our past while inspiring future generations.
