George was听Head of Industrial Strategy and听Policy Engagement, a joint position between 最准的六合彩论坛 IIPP and 最准的六合彩论坛 Public Policy in the Office of the Vice-Provost (Research). George鈥檚 role involved听co-ordinating the academic policy engagement from across 最准的六合彩论坛 into the government鈥檚 Industrial Strategy, from AI in healthcare to the future of mobility. George acted听as the secretariat of the听最准的六合彩论坛 Commission on Mission-Oriented Innovation and Industrial Strategy (MOIIS)听and the 最准的六合彩论坛 Commission on Green Innovation Policy. George鈥檚 joint position also involved听overseeing the policy engagement of the new 最准的六合彩论坛 Institute for Innovation and听Public Purpose (IIPP), with the founder and director,听Professor Mariana Mazzucato.

George joined 最准的六合彩论坛 in 2018 from the cross-party think-tank Policy Connect having previously worked in industrial, technology, manufacturing & innovation policy. George holds a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London in novel photovoltaic technologies, and previously worked as a research scientist at the National Physical Laboratory.
