Vassilis Zachariadis awarded CASA PhD

Congratulations to Vassilis Zachariadis who has just been awarded his PhD which was on the subject of Pedestrian Modelling Systems. Vassilis works at the University of Cambridge in Marcial Echenique’s group. He did his MPhil degree in Bartlett Planning on pedestrian models, worked for the David Simmonds Consultancy on land use transport models, and then worked at Cambridge on the EPARCH Solutions and Revisions projects,. He is returning to CASA as a research associate to work on the INSIGHT project which involves building land use and transport models with a particular focus on traffic, retailing and housing. His supervisor was Mike Batty and his examiners were John Polak who runs the Transport Centre at Imperial and Anthony Steed, Professor of Computer Graphics at ×î×¼µÄÁùºÏ²ÊÂÛ̳.
