A wide-ranging introduction to archaeology as a comparative, anthropologically-informed, and socially situated discipline
This programme is unique in the UK in providing such a comprehensive overview of Asian archaeology and cultural heritage
Advanced study of the archaeology and cultural heritage of Egypt and the Middle East
An introduction to the practical and theoretical approaches and issues in cultural heritage
Examine why certain archaeological and heritage sites, including World Heritage Sites, are selected for preservation
Explore Mediterranean societies from earliest times through Classical antiquity until the early medieval period
Gain broad academic and professional training in all aspects of museum work, and develop critically aware perspectives on the concept of the museum and its associated practices
An introduction to the context of heritage conservation, how conservation works, and the issues and constraints which affect conservation practice
Develop an understanding of the different means of communicating archaeology to the public from a global perspective
Acquire research skills in preparation for an MPhil or PhD research project
This MSc integrates scientific techniques and the archaeology of technology with practical training in the analysis of archaeological objects
Develop the fundamental skills and knowledge to study human remains in both bioarchaeological and forensic anthropological context
Become proficient in the archaeological application of computational methods including GIS, data-mining, programming and advanced spatial analysis
Practical training and experience in the conservation of heritage objects
Gain a theoretical understanding of research questions and methodologies in the study of past human-environment interactions
Training in the biological and archaeological aspects of human evolutionary studies
